Makeup: 3 Name Brand Products for 50% off Retail

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

I love makeup and it’s one of those things that makes me happy. I have a lot of fun learning new techniques and playing with new colors. So getting all dolled up and doing my makeup is an all-around creative outlet for me. But it can become a pricey hobby if you dive into the deep end. I can get lost in Ulta for hours and end up putting way too much on my credit card.

In the past, I have been hesitant to drop a lot of money onto name brand products since I don’t wear makeup every day. So when I found these products for half off at my local Marshall’s store, I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll definitely be doing some searching in the future to find other products for similar deals.

Anastasia Contour Cream Kit in Shade Light

I know I’m late to the party but I’m finally getting into learning how to contour and highlight my face. I’ve been looking into different options. I was torn between cream and powder. Anastasia’s contour kits are highly reviewed and the majority of them are good.

There are eyeshadow colors in this kit. 3 highlighting and 3 contouring. The highlighting colors are fair, neutral, and banana. The contour colors are java, light sculpt, and havana. I picked up this kit for $18.99 which is less than 50% retail which is $40 at Ulta.

Anastasia Contour Powder Kit in Shade Light to Medium

Stylecaster.com says that your skin type will determine the type of contour kit you’ll need. If you have more dry skin, a cream contour is better. For more oily skin, a power is best.

Just like with the cream kit, you get 6 colors in this kit, and 3 are for highlighting and 3 for co ntouring. The shade names are sand, vanilla, and banana for the highlighters and java, fawn, and havana for the contouring. Again, I got this for $19 vs. $40 reatil.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette

When I saw this eye shadow palette sitting on the table at Marshall’s, I almost jumped for joy. This makeup palette has 16 beautiful colors in it. I loved my makeup the first time I tried it.

Following a makeup tutorial has been the best way for me to learn how to apply makeup for a professional look and I’m getting better at it each day. Here is what it looked like when I used some of these products. Finally, I purchased this palette for $24.99 vs. the $49 retail at Ulta and on the too faced website.

A girl and her love of makeup

Sometimes a girl’s best friend is her dog. Other times it’s a beautiful shade of matte lip color. The bang for your buck that you get when finding these gems at your local discount store is amazing. It helps with the monthly budget I’m trying to get myself to comply with.

Stay tuned for other finds. I’m going to be checking regularly for new things to pop up at both Marshall’s & TJ Maxx. Have you ever found a great deal? Let me know in the comments!
